Your accreditation companion
A powerful, user-friendly platform for technical institutions seeking NBA accreditation. Our 3-in-1 suite streamlines every stage of the journey — from preparation and self-assessment to mock audits and recording outcomes.
The problem
With frequent updates to accreditation criteria and the growing demand for detailed, accurate documentation, technical institutions face mounting challenges during the NBA accreditation process. Manual preparation and data management are not only time-consuming and laborious but also prone to errors that can impact accreditation outcomes.
NBA Navigator addresses these challenges head-on. Our software suite is designed as a holistic solution to manage the complexity of new NBA guidelines, streamline data collection, and automate repetitive tasks. By digitizing and integrating every stage of the accreditation journey, NBA Navigator reduces manual workload, minimizes errors, and enables institutions to focus on quality enhancement and continuous improvement.
In today’s fast-evolving academic landscape, NBA Navigator transforms accreditation from a burdensome task into a strategic opportunity for growth and excellence.
Guided workflows, compliance checks, and collaborative tools.
Mock audits and simulations to close gaps before evaluation.
Analyze and benchmark outcomes for continuous improvement.
A single platform — secure and easy to use.
The product
NBA Navigator is a preparation and tracking workspace. Institutions still submit on NBA’s e-NBA portal. The platform covers every stage around that hand-off — registration, SAR drafting, internal evaluation, reports, and the real result when it comes back.
Register, verify email and mobile, wait for IAE approval, then the Institution Head builds governance — coordinators, HOD, Nodal Officer, evaluation committee.
Institution profile and Pre-Qualifiers, criterion-wise SAR drafting with evidence, HOD approval, and a complete draft SAR.
Internal evaluation by committee or AI, stakeholder review, a correction loop back into Preparation, then tentative scores and a final SAR export.
Hand off to e-NBA, track the visit, record the real 6-year / 3-year / not-accredited decision, archive the record, and file 7-day visit feedback.
How work moves
Two diagrams from the product specification: registration through the draft SAR, then evaluation through the final archive. Highlighted steps are the gates that stop work until someone decides.
The 3-in-1 suite
Click a module. The right-hand panel is a live preview of the kind of work your team will do inside NBA Navigator.
Reports & analytics
Not a generic “export to PDF.” Each family has a different audience and job. Export as PDF, Excel, or CSV when you need a file — the live views are the daily working surface.
What is complete, what is pending, and how much time is left. Criterion completion %, pending HOD approvals, and deadline countdown — the report a Coordinator or HOD checks daily.
Program Coordinator · HOD · Nodal Officer
Scorecards against NBA’s own criteria — quality and attainment, not just completion. Structured around GAPC V4.0’s nine broad engineering criteria, with PO/PSO attainment by program type.
HOD · Institution Head · Evaluation Committee
This cycle against the last, and department against department inside the same institution. Default comparison uses completion % and deadline risk — raw scores are not comparable across Diploma and PG.
Institution Head · HOD
Why a criterion is weak: missing evidence, weak content, or not yet reviewed — and a ranked action list, in the same spirit as a mock-audit exit meeting.
Program Coordinator · Consultant / Expert
Predictive
Move the sliders. The projected score and outcome band update immediately. This is an internal readiness estimate — never presented as NBA’s decision.
Five criterion groups, equal weighting, simple average. Thresholds: below 60 not accredited, 60–79 three-year, 80+ six-year. NBA scores nine engineering criteria, not five — these groups are a compact UI, not NBA’s published formula.
Projected score (illustrative average)
Illustrative internal estimate only. Weights and thresholds shown are placeholders, not NBA's published scoring formula — the real decision is made by NBA's evaluators, Moderation Committee, and AAC.
At five or more departments in one cycle, the Institution Head needs one rollup — not five dashboards. NBA caps a single e-NBA application at 5 programs; a sixth requires a second Application Bundle, each with its own 10%/90% fee split and visit window.
| Department | Level / tier | Completion | Score | Deadline risk | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Computer Science & Engineering | UG · Tier I | 92% | 85 | Low | On track |
| Electrical Engineering | UG · Tier I | 78% | 71 | Medium | Faculty research gap |
| Mechanical Engineering | UG · Tier I | 81% | 74 | Low | On track |
| Electronics & Communication | UG · Tier II | 65% | 62 | High | Faculty research gap |
| Civil Engineering | UG · Tier II | 58% | 55 | High | Faculty research gap, behind schedule |
Illustrative institute — not real data. Three of five departments share the same weak criterion (faculty research). Read as a portfolio, that is one institutional issue, not three separate scrambles. Aggregate fee exposure for five programs: ₹10,00,000 + taxes.
Automated checks and guided workflows minimize manual effort and mistakes.
Faculty, administration, and management work together seamlessly.
Mock audits build confidence and highlight gaps before the real evaluation.
All accreditation documents, reports, and outcomes stay securely accessible.
Data-driven insight sustains quality beyond accreditation.
Program levels follow NBA’s General Manual 2026. Roles and permissions inside the product follow the Institution Head’s governance model — each non-Head account is authorized, not self-registered.
Engineering & Technology (Diploma, UG, PG) · Management (PG only) · Pharmacy (Diploma, UG, PG) · Architecture (UG, PG) · Computer Applications / MCA (PG only) · Hotel Management & Catering Technology (UG only).
Tier-I — IITs, IISc, IIITs, NITs, universities, deemed-to-be, autonomous institutions. Tier-II — non-autonomous affiliated colleges. Only Tier-I UG Engineering carries Washington Accord recognition. Newly autonomous institutions may apply in Tier-I only from the fourth academic year.
| Role | Provisions & privileges | Restrictions |
|---|---|---|
| Institution Head | Registers the institution; final sign-off. Delegates the whole governance structure: Program Coordinators, Program-level Committees, one Nodal Officer, External Experts, Evaluation Committee (Chairman + Members). Chooses evaluation type; submits the final SAR to e-NBA. | Usually one person. Sole delegating authority — no one else can constitute committees or authorize evaluators. |
| Department HOD | In-charge of every program under the department. Reviews and approves each criterion; decides when the draft SAR is ready; decides whether the evaluation draft is satisfactory. | Does not submit to e-NBA. Data enters the SAR through the Nodal Officer or Program Coordinator. |
| Institution-level Nodal Officer | Single point of coordination for the whole institution. Submits HOD-approved criterion data into the SAR. | One per institution, appointed by the Institution Head. |
| Program Coordinator | Enters criterion-wise data for their program; uploads documents; can submit into the SAR once HOD approves. Typically chairs their Program-level Committee. | Scoped to their own program. Authorized by the Institution Head — not self-registered. |
| Program-level Committee | A program working group that supports the Coordinator on criterion-wise preparation. | A grouping, not a separate login role. Membership is set when the committee is constituted. |
| Consultant / Expert | Invited externally; comments and suggests in the review thread; visible on the live dashboard. | Advisory only — no submission or approval rights. |
| Evaluation Committee — Chairman | Leads the internal Evaluation Committee; consolidates scores and remarks from Members into the internal report. | Authorized by the Institution Head. Mirrors NBA’s visiting-team chairperson structure. |
| Evaluation Committee — Members / Evaluators / Assessors | Score against NBA criteria; write remarks and recommendations per criterion; take part in the correction / clearance loop. | Do not edit the institution’s underlying data — annotate and score only. |
| Department contributors | Upload evidence for tagged criteria — library, finance, examination cell, HR. | Criterion-scoped access only, across programs — not the same as a Coordinator’s program scope. |
| Stakeholders | Optional, configurable-visibility group; can view the draft evaluation report if permitted. | View (and comment, if granted) only. Membership is set by the institution. |
IAE Admin is not an institution role. That account sits on IAE’s side and is the gate for registration approval (flowchart 4.1, step 3).
The single strongest difference is not “more software” — it is a suite that tracks NBA’s actual process, including real regulatory windows.
